What is the ideal small dog for me?
I would like to adopt a small dog, probably under 25 lbs because I live in an apartment. What breed should I go for? I am looking for a dog that can be an inside dog. I am looking at the following breeds, please let me know if anyone can recommend any of them:
Yorkshire terrier
Jack Russell Terrier
Lhasha Apso
Pekenigse
Toy poodle
and maybe a chiuaua ( Sp?) mix, but it is not my first choice.
If I could tell you, I would say a chihuahua would be the wonderful pet, for an apartment. We have a male chihuahua, named Bruiser right now. He is the sweetest little dog we could ever imagine. He is very friendly to everyone. He is only 4 pounds, so he is wonderful, being that we live in a duplex. Jack russells are good dogs, but they need a lot more running space, as they have a lot more energy. My dog doesn't need much. We have a little spot for him outside, and he runs for a few minutes, and doesn't need more then that. Another plus for him is when he does have a accident in the house he turds are so small they don't smell. But I wish that you could like sample him for a day because you would fall in love with him. He is not like everyone says. He is not yippy, or an ankle bitter. Chihuahua's are wonderful pets. Everyone in my family has one. Wonderful for travel as well!
